Oh well, this is Sant Cugat

Modestly joyful at summer.

F****** boring at winter (and what village isn't, right?).

But after all, "home, sweet home".

Sant Cugat has got a millennial Monastery!

Millennial! It means it is more than 1000 years old!
It's in the picture you've seen above.
Honestly, I don't think this village deserves such honor. However, it's kinda worthy to visit it.
I'll explain further about it in coming posts (If I'm not too lazy)

Some things about Sant Cugat you may not know

  • In the year 1000, you could reach Tarragona on foot through the monastery lands.
(And I bet those monks had many starving outside the walls).

  • Albert Einstein visited the Monastery of Sant Cugat.
(Probably he felt forced to accept the invitation and had to smile).

  • During the Franco era, Sant Cugat was called "San Cucufate".
        (You don't care, I know)
